Quick answers
How do I download a video from X (Twitter)?
On the X post, tap Share and Copy Link. The URL looks like `x.com/username/status/123…`. Paste it into MediaGrabber and pick MP4 — pick a resolution from the list X serves (typically 360p, 720p, or 1080p). The video saves to your device. Audio-only MP3 is also available from the same dropdown.
Can I save a Twitter GIF as an actual GIF file?
Yes. Twitter's GIFs are actually short MP4s under the hood, but MediaGrabber re-encodes them to true `.gif` if you select the GIF format. Pick MP4 instead if you want better compression and audio support; pick GIF for platforms (Slack reactions, old forums) that only render `.gif`. Both options come from the same paste.
Does MediaGrabber work for protected or private X accounts?
Protected accounts require a follower relationship, so MediaGrabber can only fetch their content when you're signed into X in the same browser. The tool reuses your existing session cookies without exposing them. Posts from public accounts work without any login. Deleted posts are unrecoverable from either of us.
